Privacy Policy
Little Steps handles some of the most sensitive information a family can share. This policy explains what we process, why, and the choices nurseries and families have.

Who we are
Little Steps provides nursery management software used by nursery owners, staff, and parents. Nurseries use Little Steps to run their daily operations; in doing so, the nursery decides what information is entered into the product and who can see it, and Little Steps processes that information on the nursery's behalf.
Information we handle
Depending on how a nursery uses the product, Little Steps may process:
- Account information — names, email addresses, phone numbers, and roles for staff and parent accounts.
- Child information — name, date of birth, classroom, guardian relationships, and care details the nursery records (allergies, notes, emergency contacts).
- Daily activity records — attendance, meals, naps, activities, and teacher notes.
- Photos and media — photos shared by the nursery as part of daily updates.
- Messages — communication between the nursery and families inside the product.
- Billing records — invoices, balances, credits, and payment records the nursery maintains.
- Technical data — log and device information needed to keep the service secure and reliable.
Children's information
Children never use Little Steps directly and we never collect information from children. Information about a child is entered by the nursery or by the child's own guardians, is visible only to the nursery's authorized staff and that child's guardians, and is used solely to provide the service to that nursery. We do not use children's information for advertising, and we do not sell it — or any other personal information — to anyone.
How we use information
We use the information above to provide and operate the product, support users, secure accounts, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and improve reliability. We do not use nursery, family, or child data for third-party advertising or marketing.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers needed to run the product (such as hosting and infrastructure providers), under agreements that restrict how they can use it; when a nursery directs us to; or when required by law.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access inside the product is role-based: staff and parent experiences are separated so each user sees only the information needed for their relationship with the nursery. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
Retention
We keep information for as long as the nursery's account is active or as needed to provide the service. When a nursery ends its use of Little Steps, it can request export or deletion of its data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Your rights
Parents can review the information held about their child by contacting their nursery, which controls the records, or by contacting us. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We honor the rights granted under applicable data protection law, including Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects nurseries or families, we will update this page and note the new date above.
